John recently conducted at Capitol Records in Los Angeles for the recording session of a new film, Life is Love, by acclaimed director Halfdan Hussey. John conducted an orchestra made up of members of the LA Philharmonic and the LA Opera Orchestra, along with soloist Alicia Irving and the choir from the Cole Conservatory of Music. The score for the movie was composed by Christopher Caliendo and the movie is being produced by Cinequest Studios. The film is currently being submitted to the Cannes Film Festival.


John conducted the University of Maryland Repertoire Orchestra in the world premiere of a piece by Claude Debussy. The group performed La Saulaie, a cantata for baritone and orchestra, completed by scholar Robert Orledge.


John made his Carnegie Hall debut on March 29, 2013. The Youth Orchestras of Prince William presented a concert at Carnegie playing Brahms’ Fourth Symphony and Glimpse, a world-premiere by renowned composer Eric Nathan.
